What Sets Our SlickRockWeb SEO Solutions Apart From Our Competitors

Occasionally we are asked by a prospective client. “what sets you apart from the larger one-size fits all solutions by the big box marketing companies like ATT, YellowBook, SuperMedia, Web.com ect…” It’s a fair question and one I haven’t thought about in a while so I thought about a more current response over the Labor Day weekend. First off we are a Boutique SEO firm that has been doing this for over 12 years. ATT didn’t even know what SEO was 12 years ago and SuperMedia didn’t exist as an online marketing company. We have read some of Google’s patents, I have talked face-to-face with Google Engineers and have gone to SEO conferences. When you call the small business solutions line from one of these large multi-national companies you will get a kid just out of college who won’t know the first thing about how to improve your specific company’s issue. This kid will read from a boilerplate script and will then try to upsell you their one-size fits all solution that probably works 10% of the time and hopefully you will happen to be one of those companies where their solution happens to fit to a degree that you get some improvement for the money. If you are unlucky you will express some mild interest and then you will be cold-called by them and all their partner companies everyday for the next month. Don’t even get me started on the abuse of the Yext tool to scam thousands of small business owners. I will save that conversation for another post.

So when you become a client of ours and call us you will usually get me, or one of my guys that know SEO, and know how to look at your current company stats and make immediate tweaks based on your feedback. In the 12 years we have been doing this we have never had a company ask for the money back and have never had one of our client’s go out of business. Considering 90% of all small businesses fail within the first 2 years of their life that is a pretty good record.

Below is a screen shot of the traffic increase for one of our long time clients, in St. Paul. Even as a very established company we were still able to increase their total web traffic by over 100%. And when you are already at 20,000 visitors per month, moving that to 42,000 per month takes significant time and effort. I don’t know anyone who would complain about making a relatively small investment to see their company double in size after a few years. With that said if you are a smaller company going from 500 relevant visitors per month to 1000 is relatively straightforward for us. Whether you are a billion dollar company or a small regional service company, all of our clients that stick to our program have seen significant growth over the past few years because of proprietary SEO-Optimax techniques and online visibility strategies.

I attached a recent case study from Volumetric Technologies and a really old one from Kanantik Resort in Belize which was one of our first large clients. The resort was recently sold for just under 10 million. I hope to create a few more case studies in the coming months.
