Press Release for Client Saving Tape Timed to Coincide with NCAA March Madness
We recently worked with our client Saving Tape to produce a search engine friendly press release to both coincide with the annual buzz of the March Madness NCAA Men’s basketball tournament and to highlight our clients new high definition film transfer capabilities.
The press release titled, “Saving Tape Celebrates NCAA March Madness with Historic Gift to Minnesota Golden Gophers Men’s Basketball” was distributed on PrWeb.com.
Saving Tape put together a teaser video from some of the 1954 16mm movie reels they had and this one in particular featured the Minnesota Golden Gophers beating the Michigan Wolverines in 1954. The contrasts of how the game was played back then from how it is played now are striking. There was no three-point line, nor was there a shot clock, the basketball shorts worn by the players were appropriately named, and most entertaining to watch were the “Granny Style” free throws that were still popular at that time.
Utilizing a combination of search engine friendly press release creation, and online news distribution, YouTube video creation, and promotion via a number of social media strategies we were able to catch the eye of the mayor of Minneapolis R.T. Rybak and ended up with over 1200 reads of the original press release according to PRWEB.
